MWC Shanghai 2019 is Asia’s leading event for next-generation technology – 5G, IoT, AI, big data and beyond.
I flew out for a week to freelance for intuitive design helping design the daily newspaper. Live content came in throughout the day from a team of journalists. We designed the newspaper throughout the day and it was printed over night ready for the huge crowds the next day. I designed the digital version of the paper using instant magazine a mobile responsive online content creator. The site was fairly user friendly but a little held back by loading speeds on larger documents. Overall the results were impressive though and I would recommend it to clients for a quick, easy professional looking design with tons of features.
Shanghai was great to experience. I got to sample some amazing food, travel on a train at 430km an hour, experience a completely new culture and enjoy a few drinks along the way. We visited the local markets and the bund which really made the trip worth it. The experience of flying first class was also great and I’m sure I’ll be remembering it the next time I’m heading on a family holiday with Ryan Air ……
The one thing I love about being a graphic designer is the opportunities it brings. When it gives me the chance to mix my love of design with travel I feel very lucky.
